Always love these on location episodes although could’ve done with Mott at the beginning when the light wasn’t right, GV looked like he was in a shadow.

Congratulations Gary!! QOTD: Way too many to list. But some that stood out were all the Bordeaux episodes, and of you and your dad Sasha. Happy five years!!!!!!!

  • QOTD: That’s a hugely tough question. I’m going to say the time period when I first started watching which was Sept./Oct. ’07. Actually, I’m going to amend that because while that’s when I started to watch, it was around mid-November that I became a hooked regular. I think I’ve watch every episode by now (at least most of every episode) and I do remember the excitement and groove you were in then (and maintained!).

    Thank you, Gary. Happy Anniversary!

  • Randall

    :D!!
    Good call!

    Happy anniversary Gary!

Thank you so much for doing the show! I’m a big fan!

QOTD: I’m having a hard time singling out a favorite moment, but some things that are coming to mind are, Sasha, wine tasting outside in the middle of winter, all the great wine makers you’ve had on, and that kid in the spider man pajamas tasting orange juice “Gary Vaynerchuk style”.

I didn’t really know that much about wine before I started watching the show. Thank you very much for all the education and entertainment. The show is TOTALLY unique!

Congrats on 5 years! I’ve been watching more or less for 3 years now and have learned a lot from this show.

    QOTD: Cat food, And #973.

Is there any chance you can stock some Tasting Room sampler packs on Wine Library? They don’t ship to my state.

I think aged whites offer some great values G. I’ve had a number of 20+ year old reislings that have aged beautifully.

Episode 40 where Gary is going absolutely crazy on live TV during the 2006 Draft! i mean this is who Gary is! This shows the passion that makes up our Host!

  • QOTD: My favorite part of WLTV is the anticipation of a new episode. I am excited to check my email every day. Thanks Gary you’ve done something great.

  • Happy 5 years Gary! Well done my man.

  • DaveAll

ah, well, Randall. it’s my first “first” so I will retire. haha. (Archer? need to search what that is)

Congrats and thank you, Gary. It’s been entertaining and educational. Been there for #1 and will be there for #last. Thanks!

QOTD: My favorite moment happened pretty recently when you were doing a Chardonnay blind tasting and you put Wine Library TV on the line with a prediction that a certain wine was from California. When you pulled the bag off you had a split second where you thought you were wrong and you were going to have to pull the plug on WLTV. I’ve got a picture of that moment. Awesome.

  • I knew I liked you John_J 😉

QOTD: Charles Smith guest episode. Only guy ever on the show crazier than G, and made me really aware of his awesome, over the top wines.

qotd.. cloves and white pepper 🙂 congrats G!

  • Congrats on 5 years, here’s to 5 more!

QOTD: Not sure, sooo many, but i’ll have to use the “oak monster” i love when you do that!

  • I wish I could order from WL and from tastingroom. Tastingrooms samplers sound awesome but I live in Pennsylvania and no one can ship here 🙁

Gary congratulations on the 5 year anniversary of WLTV! I really admire your commitment and dedication to all wine fanatics. You’re truly are changing the wine world! I have to say I absolutely love the jokes…where do you come up with this stuff…make-up, BBQ possum, really funny:)) Who knew wine tasting could be so much fun!! Thanks again for your passion and excitement and may there be many more years of WLTV!
QOTD: The episode where you bought all that food and stuffed your face full of everything that you might taste or smell in wines including dirt! and then to top it off with a bottle of Cristal…..priceless!!!

  • WOW Five Years! Congratulations Gary Vee, it’s an awesome endeavor.

QOTD: I can’t say I can pick just one moment, nevertheless, the episode about wine with cereals (724) and the episode with Charles Smith had their moments (I also like the episode with Heidi Barrett.)

  • Congratulations on 5 years of truly making a difference with respect to introducing people to parts of the wine world they’d never experienced before. What you’ve done here is pretty awesome, and I’m sure you know that.

QotD: besides the palate training episode (#148)? My personal favorite is episode #519, where you taste some great lambics and wild ales. I’m a beer guy first and foremost, and sour beers are some of the most complex, lovely beverages on Earth. Each time on the few beer-centric WL episodes that you drink a beer from Cantillon or Russian River, you talk about how much you enjoy it and how much beer is underrated in America. I love those moments.

When are you going to put together a DVD box set G?

  • Anonymous

QOTD: (I think) since I have not watched yet……(1) When GV said he hated the label on the wine bottle and his guest said it was the only one he’s ever designed……(2) when the guest looked at GV’s DL and and asked he really thought he was 5’10″…Mottt loved that one too!

  • Congrats!!! // Great show! Looking for some La Follette right now..

QOTD: My favorite part of WLTV was finding you, while searching for cheese to have with a Bordeaux tasting I was having… Googled “Bordeaux and Cheese” and found a link for WLTV Episode #223… Been a fan since… and of course any episode with your Dad…

    Congrats on 5 years GV!

QOTD: I’m going way back to episodes 57 & 58, simply b/c I think they were major turning points in the show. Episodes w/ Sasha are way up there. But also episodes that got me intrigued about specific areas – Bordeaux & Barolo especially. Thanks my man!

    – John D.

    Happy Anniversary, WLTV & GV!!

QofD: Sorry, GV, but this was too freaking hysterical: “So you think you’re 5-10?”

  • R2theK

    QOTD: Jets Uncorked Tasting
Gary: “Mott come up here and taste this wine in your Giants jersey.”
Mott: “Ok, just don’t zoom in on my head,”…
Gary: “Ok, I won’t zoom in on your head” (and Gary Zooms in on Mott’s head).
Classic. Love the dynamic between the two of you guys. Cheers!

  • Leatherpalate

182 is still the classic in my book. Just got back from a killer dinner with TimF and Kdawg two people I never would have met if is wasn’t for you big guy.. 😉

Congratulations on all your success Gary! You really show everyone out there how far you can go with passion, imagination, and selflessness. I’m pumped your in the wine country, my backyard!

Was it me or was your ringtone the entrance music for Mr Perfect, aka the late, great Kurt Henning?

QOTD: Fav moment was your reaction to the Chapel Creek wine in the Oklahoma epsiode. (ep. #490)
Fav guest (besides your pops of course) is 3 way tie between Charles Smith (#549), Jim Cramer (#499), and Hendrik Thoma (#605)

  • John__J

    Why was that flagged?

  • John__J

The link for it is at the bottom of episode 505, done by Ohdoctor. I saw that not too long ago, that was great. Or the link to it should be here: http://www.viddler.com/explore/ohdoctah/videos/34/

  • CKC Virginia Tech…. I think you know you should come down here… from jersey… a mere 7hrs.

  • Randall

    “Da Kool-Aid-iacs” in da audience!
    Too funny!!

  • Randall

    A mistake…
No further comment needed other than… “MOTT!! Please Unflag!”

  • ALLAN

Congrats Gary, on the 5 year mark, you’ve shown time and time again that your show can age gracefully like wine can too… 🙂

Qotd: Lots! comes to mind; Sasha episodes, Vayniac-episodes (winecrazy for one), food and wine together, soo many, soo little time… If I had to pick one it would be the one with Sasha at the WLTV party, can’t remember the number though. Cheers for another 5 years…………………………….. 😉

Congratulations, Gary!! You have so much to be proud of!

QOTD: Wow. When Gary punched the ginger bread house.
