A little late on this comment but … interesting to hear you talk about a 1990 Hermitage. I have just come back from a tasting of the 2005/2006 Guigal range, right up to the La Las, and they, IMO, must have close to the best range in the World, from the modest Cotes Du Rhone all the way up to the top Cote Roties … As another emailer said a show on Guigal St Josephs would be interesting – a bit more affordable but good (and improving) quality …

QOTD – a glass of top quality Condrieu eg Chapoutier 2006 or Guigal La Doriane.

Good episode Gary, loving the ones on your balcony. Can I have a shout out please – I’m a CKC for a couple of years as of Sep – at 32! QOTD: on a hot summers day I try to relax with a nice bottle of wine and make some notes on it.

Love the relaxed nerdy episode. Guigal is just a classy winery with great wines. Thanks Gary. Chill out on the balcony more often

QOTD- I grill brotha. A nice hot day, some chilled Falanghina or Sauv Blanc, some friends, and a nice piece of fish. What more do you need?! (football!) hahaha

GREAT show. Relaxed, detailed tasting, great education with fun facts for wine nerds but accessible to newcomers (my wife has started watching the show with me and really appreciates that).

QOTD: Hopefully there’s a beach nearby, and if so I’m on it. If not, well, air conditioning was invented for a very good reason.

Can’t believe it about the 3 1/2 years… that’s how long I’ve been legal to drink!

How much cheaper is this stuff in Europe?

When it is 95 outside I stay inside and drink wine with friends. When it cools off a bit I drink wine outside with friends. Glad you keep putting out quality shows. Thanks

Big ups on the Rhone shout out. Huge fan of Rhone wines. I agree ENOUGH already with the HUGE Cali Cabs! Fans of those wines need to broaden their horizons. They are missing out on a huge world of wine. Variety is the spicwe of life & i ain’t just talking women here!

The hair is quite the Schindlers list look so have to say NAY!

Hit the beach on a hot steamy NYC day. Robert Moses is the spot if you can’t make it to the Hamptons!

Let the Dirty Sanchez experiment begin!
