Gary — Is it true that some wine critics give ratings relative to the region, meaning that a 91 point Cru Beaujolais is not meant to be compared with a 91 point Bordeaux or a 91 from Spain? I heard that WA does their ratings this way and I was curious if you do this also when you score a wine?

QOTD: Mr. Moore. He taught me about athiesm. My parents had him fired.

Gary, you brought the thunder! really! Just as I started to watch WLTV today it started to thunder and rain outside.

QOTD- Mr. Tyler Stocktrail Elementary Gillette Wy. I can’t forget him, he picked me and my friend Kevin up by the ears for goofing off in class( I don’t think that is acceptable anymore), probably one of the best teachers I ever had.

Mrs Peccorillo, she had huge breasts and she would rest them on my shoulders when she would help me. Ahh what a memory. She was hot. Good ole Staten Island, the old stompin grounds.
Carlo Rossi that brings back the memories of wine spritzers when I was 6.

  • BV

QOTD: ELSIE SODTALBERS, Washington (Township), New Jersey.
One eye looked at you; the other eye looked at the ceiling.
In 5th grade, we studied New Jersey. Class Trip: Trenton.

    CK… maybe a C Man?
QOTD: Mrs. B… man I wish my memory was better, Laken, Miller, Patten, Adams, Handbury, and… oh man she’d kill me for this… if I wasn’t at school now I’d be running for my old year book.

QOTD: Miss Rimmer. I loved her because she was sort of uptight, but at times she would say the funniest things and crack me right up. Many kids didn’t like her but I thought she was fabulous!
Thanks for tasting the Eric Kent!

I am a college student and huge WLTV fan. I can’t find any other students who are wine fans though!! (They all seem to have been living in a bubble their whole lives!)

  • QOTD: Mr Peterson was my 5th grade spelling teacher.

Glad you like the Beaujolais. Hopefully people start giving the area some respect now. Not too much though I like the low prices.

Oh and thanks for the shout out … you could have linked to the site though … or at least my wine cartoon…. heh

QOTD: Mr Borofski. My parents had him over for dinner one night, to discuss my “potential”.
Right. Good god, ’70-’71 was a while ago.

An interesting batch of wines on the show tonight.

I went to a tasting as well. Had another Picpoul de Pinet. Apples, green melon. Crisp, but not really like a Sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio.

Wait, the board says thunder and I see lightning … are we going with Barber or Dayne here?

Love to see the Julienas. That’s about the one thing that would make me risk shipping again before the fall. Can’t never have enough Beaujolais.

QOD: Mrs Barry; she was a big fan, but then she retired right after I went through 5th grade. Hope it wasn’t me.

Strange mood today, eh Gary! I really like that no matter what you can taste wine AND talk about what you like — even when in a weird mood! Good job! Broccoli in Hersheys Chocolate Syrup — uh … whatEVER!

    go CKs!!!

QOTD: My 5th grade teacher was pretty great –> Mrs. Daniels. She, more than any other teacher, gave me confidence in my academic abilities that kept me afloat through the emotionally turbulent middle school years that followed. Yep, 5th grade is an important year.

I figured the posts were a little light tonight so I should do my part.

Suggestion for a future episode: 2003 Vireo Goose Ridge Vineyards Meritage from Washington

    Keep up the great work.
