    Yes, the gewurtz is a good wine. Good ep, but clearly you seem to be in a bit of a hurry.

    QOTD: Lobster mmmmmmmm. I live in Maine so it’s fairly easy to get. Two local fish joints cook the lobsters for you. Saves lots of time and lots of mess.

    I found it interesting that Gary mentioned every smell associated with Gewurtztraminer except the one I MOST associate it with – LYCHEE FRUIT! Gotta love that lychee!

    Hey Gary. Totally off subject, but whenever I find a wine on my list, due to a past costly mistake, I go back to the episode or to confirm the label. Today I found a 1999 Mouton Rothschild and confirmed on episode #150. Per that episode, when are you jumping out of the planes and/or Rhinoceros? You have yet to do that.

    I think my favorite part of the show was your face when you figured out the Hugelheim wasn’t sweet. Not only that, but it went from an “Alsacian gewurztraminer” to a “German riesling.” Nice episode, tasted some gewurztraminers from around Seneca lake last weekend, can’t say I was terribly impressed, but i love them from Alsace.

    QOTD: Maine Lobster Fest in Rockland, ME = Best time of the year…like Christmas…in August

    Re: the ice & beans, I think that’s Taiwanese shaved ice. There are lots of variations, but it’s basically shaved ice with a sweet bean and/or fruit topping and sometimes condensed sweet milk.
