Who does not love lobster? I also love crab claws, especially fully prepared so you can just pick em up and eat em.
I think it’s called Halo Halo… This link will explain it more…
QOTD: I love lobster, my family does an annual lobster party at the end of every summer, right around the beginning of Maine lobster season.
Gossip Girl??? Wuss.
Crush some Tokaj soon.
QOTD: D’uh! Hope the lobster was good.
GV…the dessert, depending on where you bud was from, is either halo halo (Filipino) or possibily ice kachang (Malaysia and Singapore).
Love the lobster, love the gewurztraminer. Never had them together though. I’m excited to try this combo out in the near future.
I do like lobster, but it is a pain to eat. I also like gewurtz. It is easier to consume.
QOTD: I’m originaly from a small acadian fishing town in New Brunswick, Canada, where lobster is king! 75 years ago though, my grandfather, a fisherman, would throw them out to sea when they stuck to their nets. They were considered a nuissance, like jellyfish. Nobody ate those creepy crustacians then it seems. Times have changed, I LOVE lobster and you’re so right about pairing gewurtztraminer and lobster, yummy, makes me miss home…
Lobster is pretty good. I haven’t had it too many times.
Gewurztraminer on the other hand is awesome. I’ve seen the Dr. Frank before and never felt like dropping so much money on a bottle of Gewurzt. I’m definitely going to get my hands on those other two though.
QOTD: Yes. Robster Craws Rawk.
Im from an Indian background so basically I’ve had all types of indian food, primarily from the north where my folks are from. Its true gewurtztraminer, some riesling, and also alabariños bring out the complexity and layers of spices in indian food. It also tones down the excessive spiciness and concentrates the flavors.
QOTD: Who doesn’t like lobster?
There should have been an italian gweurztraminer there too. I seriously adore the Hofstätter from Alto Adige. From high altitude they have mora acidity which make them better with food. (I think)
QOTD: no lobsters where i live – luckily wine can be bottled !
Great show, now I know what to get when we eat lobster.
Love lobster bisque!!
Poor Boys Gourmet in Bar Harbor, ME. Has a great lobster dinner special.
Excellent show. LOL at the “psych”. That’s one of things I love about wine. Expect the unexpected.
QOTD: Lobster rocks! But here in NorCal, Dungeness Crab!
Yooo Gary !!
Coool Episode !! Ya had me confused for awhile:
“Spatlese” from Alsace??? Dats a first. 🙂
QOTD: Loooove Lobster & Gewurz, but haven’t
ate a Lobster in eons. 🙁
Of course, lobster ! Who doesn’t like lobster, miammmmmm !
haha nice way to bounce from the show. I’ll definitely have to put some Gewurz on my wine shopping list.
QOTD: no, I actually don’t like shellfish (although I’ve tried them many many times!)
Also, des rouleaux de printemps (vietnamien) / spring rolls (vietniamese) would go very well with Alsace wine 🙂
Love seafood period!!! had a 2003 Trimbach Gewurz with a little General Tso’s chicken recently..not too shabby 🙂
QOTD- Lobster is OK, I really prefer snow crab.
Great show, I really like Gewurtz, it is one of my favorite white wines and it really does pair with alot of different foods.
Identity Crisis????? LOL!!!
Great show. I love Gwertz. QOTD The King of the Sea of coarse can’t get enough lobster.
Nice! Gewurz is one of my favorite whites, I love the generally sweet smells against the slightly spicy, crisp taste — now I gotta see where I can find the hugelheim 🙂
Love gewurtz. Especially this time of year. Great thanksgiving wine with seasonal spice to match with squash, sweet potatoes, turkey, even auntie’s pecan pie.
