QOTD: My daughter growing ever day. I still can’t believe she’s 5!! It is amazing to watch her. She delights in every new experience! I also have been amazed at how my life and relationship with my wife has changed over the past 11 years! I am grateful.

Awesome show, but I am a little bit worried about pairing Finland with Afganistan and Zaire. I am worried because: a)I am from Finland b)Zaire does not exist anymore as it was renamed as Democratic Republic of Congo in the year 1997 and c)Afganistan is the biggest opium producer in the World(among other things). Finland should not be mixed with Zaire as Finland still more or less exists (Although it is buried in snow at the moment). Also, Finland should not be mixed with Afganistan as you can not successfully grow opium in Finland (Believe me, I have tried!).

Now that I have corrected these misconceptions, QOTD: The biggest transformation I have ever seen was that my then girlfriend gained 10 pounds on the same second we got engaged!!!

Yeah, the label now says “Cuvee No. 1”, even though the pre-release artwork showed “Episode 1”. Putting these bottles away for a few years, until the puckery tannins settle down. Maybe when my toddler graduates from 6th grade. (Thanks for the preview, GV. I wonder if most of the other good 2005 Bordeaux will show the same way right now.)

QOTD: Probably the transformation after my sister’s wedding from tentatively accepting new family to developing a real family aura that my 4-year-old nephew has been needing. At first, it was just say “hi” and little else…now my nephew actually runs up to give me a hug. That’s cool.
