    Incredible Show!!!

Happy 2nd Bday WLTV! I hope to celebrate many more with ya.

Im just thankful to be a part of such an incredible community of people. I love the fact that it is not wine that brings us together, but our love for spreading happiness to one another.

Congrats to all the winners today. I’m just glad to have the opportunity to continue watching this awesome show.

  • Awesome birthday show GV! Keep bringing the Thunder!

Congratulations on 2nd anniversary! This is my first episode that I’ve watched. Very entertaining, though I really can’t tell things on the nose. The palate, yes, but having helium balloons and stuff on the nose is something I’ve gotta learn. It’ll be fun, though!

    Keep it up!

Great show! Cheers to the next two years!

Congrats on your 2 year anniversary.I look forward to watching each episode after work.
Just a quick note on wine tasting,I started watching your show about July/07,loved red wine and was just in a process of reading about it and different wines, thats how i discovered your site.
I try different wines and try to sniff correct smells, always cherry ,coffee choc, never a real fan of white wines.Tried a italian white the other day with a thin steak wrapped around a pickle(roladin).Sniffed the wine and hooky dinah,it smelled like pears, like del monte,we were blown away, also it was a white with red meat, whod o thunk.trusting my palat.I wish we could order wines to winnipeg, but oh well, how about trying some BC WINES,or come to my city,I will take you and your spouse out,by the way it is minus 35 degrees out, cool eh.
    Thanks for the shows Jim

I am not a complete lurker, I comment from time to time. Today is one of those times. Very good episode, loved the passers-by in the background, even the guy with the sign.
I have had some excellent Languedoc-Roussillon wines in the past. Even with the dollar in the tank, still not overpriced for the value.
SOTD: I agree with JC. My grandfather was killed in the in the Mexican Revolution. My mother and grandmother came to the U.S. after a mob in Chihuahua burned down my gm’s 2nd husband’s store, crossing into El Paso without papers. Immigrants are the backbone of this country. Hell, even the Shoshone crossed over from Asia, without papers.

Thanks for two years of making learning about wine fun! Here’s to many more!

  • HEY GV i think my statement is thank you for taking the time to teach us, and when you decide to leave us hopefully we will be able to pass your wisdom on to others! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for the free shipping and the nice list to choose from. Great episode. We (the Well Squozen Grape members) have been meeting on the first Thursday of the month for a wine tasting for about a year now, the night works out great especially since I don’t work on Fridays.

Thanks for continuing to do the show Gary. I really like the idea of doing monthly tastings with friends splitting up the costs. I think we’ll try to start something.

OK – you’ve convinced me. I’ve ordered some 2005 Bordeaux and some white bordeaux. I’m glad to know that Alvarinho is the same as Albarino – my local wine guy didn’t know this. He has a very limited selection of either, but I am trying to go “A” instead of “C” or “R” in the white wine department.

Happy day to you, GV. Thanks for putting this out everyday for us to enjoy. And thank you for telling us to embrace our own palettes. I have done just that, and I’m loving it. I’ve been into wines for about a year now, and I’m really beginning to learn about what I really love and what I don’t like, and you’ve really helped me to embrace it. So thank you for all that you do.

SOTD: I gotta find someone to ship the anniversary pack to so my boyfriend and I can taste along. I love taste along episodes!

  • Wine Not?

Happy Birthday/Anniversary! I have only been part of the WLTV family since last November but I feel as if I’ve been watching your show forever, Gary! Thank you for all that you do for all of us and for making wine real. Even though I’ve been a wine geek for many years, I feel more confident now in saying what I smell or taste and not caring if others disagree!

By the way, I’ve trumped your T cubed (Third Thirsty Thursday) because some friends and I get together EVERY Thursday to drink wine! We’ll do a special toast when the third Thursday comes around, though….which by the way is TOMORROW!

SOTD: Think I summed it up in the first paragraph….you’re awesome, Gary! Sincerely hope you make it to Michigan one of these days so my friends and I can toast you in person!

GV, you ROCK! Hope to see you in Seattle!

Happy Birthiversary!!! Congrats to you, the wine lib, your wife and friends who share you with us and congrats to US the Vayniacs!!
My statement is that the Vayniacs are awesome! (this isn’t boasting or tooting my/our own horn) but I read through the comments and on the message board and it’s truly amazing just how many people from all different walks of life are on board here. I think that’s the true power of this movement; it makes it OK to have fun with wine. I read a lot of other publications and websites and a lot of critics or people say wine is about your own palate and so but this is the only program/format where I’ve seen it expressed and backed up by action and passion. The word is spreading, my friend, it’s going around the globe and it will be very interesting to see just how the wine world changes over the next years as the old guard gets older and older and the young bucks start filling the spaces. It’s not an us vs. them but a all of us together mind set that drives this movement and I love it!

    Cheers!!
