    Happy #2!

Any wine show that uses “lamezor” as a descriptor has my vote.

It finally came clear around 2:00AM. I had seen the link to Secret2 before. A
Christmas Story, Ralph is decoding a secret message on his newly delivered secret decoder ring.
Little Orphan Annie, his hero, has sent him a secret message – Drink your Ovaltine!, the sponsor of the show. Well, whatever you are doing it seems to be working. You have got me to leave you a message. You have got me to taste and buy wine out of my ocmfort zone and from your store! i have not quite figured out if your palette and mine are similar, but it is fun working on it.

sotd: Thanks Gary for all the info, all the inspiration, and for doing something right in this world for a change. Hopefully you inspire people about how to live and how to treat customers not just what wines to drink. Obviously, you are loved by your fans. Rock on!

Wonderful, informative and as always, entertaining 2nd anniversary telecast! I have emailed you a number of times…always received a reesponse…awesome customer appreciation on your part! I will be emailing you with our “Wine Group” details…we have been meeting on one Thursday per month for over 25 years! Great and not so great wines and food, but always great friendship!
Sometimes we tell stories of our wine beginnings when we drank 79 cent liebfraumilch and Gallo Hearty Burgundy…the Gallo was actually excellent zin, but when the price rose to $4.99 btl, we screamed! Lots of laughs and tastes! Keep up the passionate wine presentations. Thanks!

    Happy bday wltv!!
A few years ago.. I would have never thought it would be acceptable to serve and be drinking wine while hosting (or joining)friend for some Sabres hockey.. but not only have I enjoyed sharing wine .. but also changing the minds of at least 2-3 dozen friends that there tends to be more wine than beer now (esp at Cup time).
    Thanks for the enlightenment!

With any art form, viniferous or otherwise, the value placed upon it is almost completely dependent upon and reflective of the society surrounding it. Thanks for two years of stressing that wine isn’t just about numbers, grapes, and alcohol, but is mostly about interacting with other human beings. The community WLTV has created is proof that, at least on a limited scale, this society subscribes to these ideas. What an awesome accomplishment to have created such a community.

Good job WLTV crew, keep it up!

(ps: Had a gerwerstraminer with my sisters cake, brought out a totally different taste in the wine. It actually tasted more like a desert wine. Fancy that.)

Congratulations to all of the contest winners, and thank you to all participants for helping get the word out. Even if you didn’t win something, you helped to spread the thunder. More viewers could mean more people learning to trust their own palates and not buy into what Hollywood and the wine snobs tell them. That’s changing the wine world.

SOTD: Congrats, WLTV, on another pass around the sun, may you have many more revolutions.

You came here in 1978, I moved to Washington state in September 1978. Loved it there. I introduced my friend Don Koester to the ‘wonders & history’ of wine. And Now he is making wine in Chelan WA since 2005 at “”Four Lakes Chelan”.

It was my biggest mistake to move back from WA to PA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats on going thru this show for two years, its got to be a “bear” sometimes.

I think some shows could use some vertical integration. Like several different years for the same wine/area tasting (eg CA, Napa, same wineries within 5 miles of each other same year of different vintages for same winery).

Similar to the 5 bottle of Louis Martini CS sent to you,

SotD: Well let’s see… I’m on a self-imposed wine buying moratorium and can’t take advantage of the free shipping OR the WLTV mystery 4-pack [too much wine/moving]; can’t get my 3rd wristband as a result; AND I’ve got prior engagements every Thursday and can’t join any tasting groups!!! Happy Anniversary to you too WLTV. 🙂

Good idea, half century. Gary did make noise about no tomorrow (today, now) w/out 1000 comments- not necessarily 1000 different comment-ers, so, anything to keep him happy…

My statement: Thanks, GV, for your work. You’ve taught me a ton, including to trust my own palate. Fads happen from the top down, trends from the bottom up. Wine Library TV is a trend because you’ve brought wine to the people. Keep it up!

Loved the startle response when G saw Darth Vaynerchuk lurking just before the drawing.
