Good old GV coming through like a trooper from his own kitchen. Short episode but fun to see what’s in the fridge and what he’s drinking at home. Shocking to find out that in two days he’d only drunk less than half a bottle, and if this is what he is drinking at home why spit it out? Puzzling

  • A dumb Rhine king

Good show. I like the ad hoc nature of it.

QOTD: Still the Villa Pozzi Nero D?Avola 2006, I’ve been busy l8ly. Sometimes it will take me 4 days to drink a 750ml. At least that rate keeps it in budget 🙂

QOTD: It’s in the fridge but I have an open bottle of South Australian Eden Valley Riesling… “2006 Tow Jokers”

Like the show, interesting to see some of Gary’s kitchen :p haha

  • Digging the format. Always a fun and exciting time when we get a little bit of a peek into the lifestyle of Gary Vaynerchuk.

QotD: Just finished a bottle of Yellow Tail The Reserve Cab Sauv 2007 that my wife got me. It’s got the delicious factor and a little darker fruit than I would’ve expected, but pretty boring.

Nice little episode. Kinda cool getting a peek of your personal surroundings.

QOTD: Dry Creek Vineyard Dry Chenin Blanc 2006. Got it quickly on my way home because needed a dry white to cook dinner with tonight and also wanted to try more Chenin Blancs. Store had it advertised as had been in Oprah’s magazine as a good bargain, 15 bones. Not that I think she is a wine expert but thought it might be worth a try. Disappointed in it really but guess Oprah liked it.

Enjoyed the Blair Witch feel of this v-blog. Yes, Sierra Nevada FTW, love my Chico brewski!

I’m just finishing up some Salice Salentino here with some leftover tortellini soup.

  • QOTD: Stephen Vincent, 2006, Crimson

  • urbwes

qotd: Crane Lake Malbec 2006. The recession is hitting hard (also teacher’s salary). I’m trying the “cheap wine” route on everyday wine.

I like the short one wine focus shows as it must be tough to keep cranking out the regular shows.
QOTD Domaine La Hitare Blanc Les Tours 2007 65% Ugni Blanc, 30% Colombard and 5% Gros Manseng This $9 white caught my attention because I’ve never heard of these grape varieties so I thought this would be a good research project.

  • XandrHew

QOTD: I have some Red Guitar on the counter and a Fetzer White Zin in the fridge. Also, I have some Sierra Nevada Ale in there as well.

Fun to see your underground lair! And if I were Lizzie I wouldn’t be cheesed at you opening the fridge so much as knowing her grown husband, father to be, still eats Captain Crunch! QOTD: Loma Gorda

  • Orion S.

nice. thanks for pulling this one through for us! i think i’m drinking from the same glass as you ? well, the same style of glass anyway. is that riedel stemless burgundy? we got a set as a wedding present.

qotd: i’m drinking the 2006 ventisquero carménère reserva. not bad for the price. chocolate powder, green peppers and dark fruit on the nose. the palate lives up to the nose pretty well. decent balance. good effort.

  • bob c

Well, had a 07 maso canali pinot grigio with my shrimp alfredo, and also just opened the 2006 montsant ombra which just arrived today….,must say that I am not usually a white wine drinker, but the pinot went very well with the alfredo…

  • J Crazy

I have a red wine in a can…wha wah whaaa? Yup, a can. It’s not terribly good, but if I compare it to, say, getting eaten to death by earthworms then it’s a pretty good alternative.

  • Nice. HP Sauce is always in my fridge, too. Makes a great chicken rub.

Drinking my everyday wine tonight. 2005 A-MANO primitivo. Drinking it from a ‘real’ glass. The kind hard working folks from Puglia drink their table wine from. No stems for them.

I posted a picture for you on my blog. Enjoying wine in a real glass with a real pizza in Grottaglie.
