I’m a long time watcher… I have never felt moved to post a comment before this terrible ep. Both the videos i have seen with college humor people are trash imo. I watch this show to learn. I don’t watch this show to see douche bags destroy the integrity and value of wine.

Ok…watched it again..WTF? Still..WTF? Can we please get back to the old school style. Honest to God I get it, I understand the intentions, however I REALLY DOUBT any (maybe 3) of the new CK fan viewers that linked over and watched are gonna order anything from WL. I have to be honest (again) I still gotta say I can appreciate the “going out on the limb” and taking what I’m quite certain you knew was gonna be a major risk for the sake of growing your viewership and potentially your business. I dont have a “pair” big enough to have taken that risk. That’s why you’re OG Gary Vee and I’m just the GolfTurtle. MOTT! link up the next epp so we can move on and not talk about this anymore.

Couldn’t get through even five minutes of this episode…nothing funny about these guys at all…just annoying.

Coming from someone who knows the CollegeHumor site fairly well, but also recognizes awkward shit when i see it, i say this: this was an utter failure. The original material on their site is occasionally funny, such as this skit about a “Man-Baby:” http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1904488 . It is silly, but you have to admit, a lot funnier than jake and amir on this episode of wine tv.

Jake and Amir is borderline annoying to begin with, but when coupled with a semi-serious show like this, it fails miserably. Asking a character like Amir to focus on a tangible subject like wine appreciation was the biggest mistake. someone should have realized this before they shot this awkward mess.

I get what allot of you are saying about the show being rather off topic due to the addition of the college humor kids, but keep in mind i will now be an avid watcher of this show from now on and would never of found it without the link on the collegehumor page.

do thies to guy make good skits for college humor yes. but when they are trying to be funny for funny sake it comes across two tools using inside jokes trying to top the other one while hinting they smoked up just be for they taped this. all so if you drink own it dont hint around it and giggle like your 15 its really really sad got people at there age.

Man! I’ve watched quite a few WLTV episodes and though this one wasn’t one of the best, I still enjoyed it. Too many people seem to really have no sense of humor about wine or the show to understand that these guest are playing characters from their web show “Jake and Amir”. Though Amir does get a bit annoying on their show I thought he was very funny on this episode in a quirky kind of way.

Gary, don’t let the haters get you down. You do an awesome job!

All in all a boring show. I’m not usually a fan of the college humor folks, at least from my limited experience with their content that ends up on the front-page of Digg. Like (in my opinion) most of the funny or die sketches, I just find their content to often sound funny in the title but then let me down when I actually click it- I much prefer the onion, or even cracked, but that’s me.

In character or not, Amir’s schtick just didn’t play that well. It was a little bit too “Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman”-esque, which I leave people to interpret however they want. On the upside, I think Amir’s only 25 or 26, so maybe he still has time to hone his routine a bit more?

Lastly, and maybe it’s a name bias on my part, but I found Jake to be at least tolerable. He wasn’t great, but he didn’t stink up the room like Amir did.

Keep up the good work Gary, and even though I had a tough time NOT clicking off to something else during this episode, I agree that you should keep mixing it up. I first found your site through digg, and I’m sure there are some people who frequent college humor and will get into your vibe as a result.

Oh, and for what it’s worth to the College Humor people, I do like your stuff at bustedtees sometimes.

Gary did a nice job keeping the show mostly on track. It could have been sooooo much worse.

This was another very funny tie-in of the CH Kids, I can’t wait for another!

And for those snobbish, “mature” fans of Gary’s show who have professed their extreme hatred of Jake & Amir’s presence on this episode, just realize that Gary is making a very smart move here by bringing in a much broader audience that wouldn’t normally view anything on Wine Library.

And for the record, I highly doubt that they were high. If they were, hell, that’s just an excellent way to appreciate a drink that many find difficult to enjoy.

The auto-download for this episode in Itunes is broken, I got a second copy of the Wine n’ Bacon episode instead. Not sure if this was because of the harsh comments and wanting people to come search out the episode if interested. Just wanted to throw out the heads up (btw if this has already been mentioned in the comments sorry).

It’s almost hilarious how insulting a lot of these posters are acting. For one do you not realize how many new ppl have just found this bc of Jake and Amir. I guess that never dawned on you. Any publicity is good publicity. Personally I thought they were very funny.

Pretty sad when the so-called “immature college crowd” is showing a lot more class then almost all of the pretentious “mature wine crowd”. Get over yourself and learn to laugh a little. Life will be a lot better 🙂

To neutron212 you’re making fun of college kids when you can’t even form a grammatically correct sentence. Dyslexic preschoolers can write better than you. I think the show was good but Jake and Amir did try a little to hard to keep the act going, it would have been nicer if they had just been themselves.

UGh straight up, I do not like these guys, and I really hate the idea that they represent the average collage student, since their humor is more on the level of middleschool. and if you want them to be jackoffs then stop asking them for their “thoughts” of which they clearly have few. You could do a better show with monkeys on either side of you, i kinda hope these kids get lost in the woods.

Can’t wait for the *next* episode – whatever it may be. Maybe I’ll just go back & watch an old one…
