Surprised by your reaction to the Atteca. Perhaps I had the 06, but it was beautiful and right up your alley with loads of andoullie sausage, orange peel, licorice. Medium on the palate, with firm acid and tannin, and only moderate chocolate, along with some sausage and tobacco. I called it a 88-90 pointer, which was pretty good for the price. I’m thinking I had the 06, since the 07 must have just been released.

I just wanted to say thank you to Gary for introducing me to Chinon. I just had the Les Pensees de Pallus 2006 Chinon and it made me really happy. I drink a glass of wine every night and I try to get different things from different regions all the time thanks to Gary. I have commented probably around 100 times on this show and not once have I recommended that Gary try any of the wines I’ve had. However after 2 years of watching and commenting I’m ready to say, “Try this one Gary, it rocks!” And thank you so much for telling us to try new things and how much you like Chinon or I never would have gone out to get this. This wine changed the way I think about wine and I will have a hard time getting too excited about a Napa cab again for quite a while. No matter how good it is, it won’t have the excitement factor and “WOW” flavors this Chinon had. Thanks again Gary and thank you for all you do!

Nice venue but can’t stand the Pats. Steelers fan. Would like to see a show from Heinz Field!

As a Patriots STH I enjoyed seeing you do this show from my second home during the football season. What were your impressions of “Tastings” at Patriots Place? I almost went there the night before the home opener against the Bills this year, but it was late and they were getting ready to close up. I do enjoy Albariño and will try to find that La Cana.

surprised to find the la cana at my grocery store. many things running through my head as i stared at it…is that really the same wine? whats the price? etc..? ended up buying 3 bottles somewhat against my lack of judgment. was not disappointed, this wine rocks, in fact there are a lot of things going for this wine that gv did not mention. go find it.
