Gary, this was a great episode to watch. I hope you post some more footage of this tasting if you have it. When R.P. toasted to the ’45 Rioja and you turned and said “to the jets”, I was cracking up. I shouldnt have been surprised i guess.
There’s no question that a 1945 vin jaune from chateau chalon appellation would still hold up too, or even an 1845 for that matter.
How about throwin a vin jaune on the show sometime Gary?

First, saw you in the NYDailyNews this morning! Great HUGE pic and article…congratulations… Was a nice surprise!

This event seems so stuffy and rigid…lotsa rules… ugh. <-In my humble opinion… Doesnt seem like fun..even though theyre sometimes talking about making it fun…Maybe cuz its such a large group? Seems like theyre there to discuss politics, or global warming…both topics btw, are better discussed over wine. 😉

QOTD: Ive had a lot of fun at wine tastings…I like what Crush in NYC does..good vibe there.. But the best was not at a winery, it was charity wine tasting/auction for NYU Hospital…that I had the pleasure of helping organize… was on the 60th floor of the Chase Bldg., was such a great time.. And i guess I didnt spit so much..cuz I got drunk. LOL This event stands out in my mind.. Was also the 1s time I drank a white Bordeaux, btw. 🙂

QOTD: I’ve been to some big ones that were very impressive, but I have to say, this one small one in Uxbridge, MA that my wife and I went to a few years ago was spectacular. A great range of excellent wines, outstanding raw bar and good people.
