Another good show Gary our should a say Ronnie ” You cant see me ” to funny man. I was thinking you need to do a supermarket wine show some time soon its fun to see what you think of these cheap wines that are every where.
QOTD: Well being from Minnesota where it was just -30 below a few days ago it makes me think of the hot weather.

  • I wonder if it’ll be easy to find since I live here in Chile =D

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

Wow! GV amped up like he’s on Monster! I feel like i need to go run around. I’m hyped now bro…lol. You should have made it rain on that wine!

Good show on some of the places I’ve been enjoying as of late.

    QOTD: SA = Underdog

PS-Glen, get your bottle of Lota! It’s a fruit bomb!

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

    Congrats on the shoutout!

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

The Count Choc and Oak Monster interaction is definitely a keeper! I agree.

    Congrats on the shoutout, brotha!R

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

QOTD: South America= ME. I’m Brazilian. We’re improving a lot on the wine market. Our vineyards in Northeast of Brazil, harvest 3x a year.

Thanks! Whenever GVs descriptors take on lives of their own you know it’s going to be a good show!

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

Now that your out Julie, STAY OUT. It’s wonderful having you with the rest of “Vayner Nation” with a voice. 😉

  • such a pity you don´t like A Lisa they are doing great job in Patagonia, Rio Negro

QOTD: perú, bolivia, chile, all nice places to visit, interesting food and nature

  • Nice descriptor on the Andes Mints, I love that chocolate Mint aspect
    to the better Cali Blends.

It’s Good that you draw the distinction between your palate and the
“rest of us” on that wine. You’re also Right to point out The 60 bones
price point For me, even though I would probably love that wine, Meh,
    It’s a bit much.

Especially with all amazing 07 Cali cabs that could easily replicate
    that at $30 – 50.

Call Out for an Episode on Walla Walla Cab Francs, They are blowing me away
right now, great price points, medium bodies, beautiful rich cranberry – spices
They are what Malbecs were circa 02.

QOTD : Gauchos, Carmenere, Llamas, Malbec, Hot Tango Dancers, Military dictators
    and massive BEEF plates.

    Cheers!

My next vacation, I?m going to grab a few interesting bubbles down here and take to NJ.

That A LISA, you didn?t mentioned, is from Patagonia, a very, very beautiful place, all the Vayniacs must check out, especially now that the Argentinean Peso is very weak against the dollar. A lot of Bang for the Buck!!

QOTD: HOME!!! Brazil, the greatest country in the world, the nature, the beaches of Pernambuco State, and specially the people. Argentina, a great place too, Patagonia, great wines, great meat and great value. Chile, great wines, seafood and the Andes, Ski & Snowboard heaven.

    GV,
Not to sound like an old fart, but I prefer the “Whether they like it or not,” ending better. I’m just saying.

QOTD: A lot of different things. That amazing statue of Jesus in Brazil. The show River Monsters (which, by the way, is tremendous)- they do a lot of stuff in the Amazon. My high school Spanish teacher, who spent several years in Peru teaching and used to tell us stories about it.

Been working on a highlight reel, GV. Kinda mention that after every episode but ya never comment back (see episode 753 and the unnumbered episode in July 2010 between 891-892). Thanks for the shout-out there…

    Andrew

  • Ryan Richards

    QOTD: The Amazon.

  • QOTD: “South America equals” SOCCER

  • Awesome show Gary!! Finally getting some more love for wines below the equator 🙂 Like the fact you tell the way it is!

QOTD: Family Asados (BBQ) in Argentina!!!

Question for you Gary: What do you think about when they splash 9% of this or 2% of that into Malbec??

  • I like the show and I’m dying to see more Argentine/Chilean wines on the shows, especially Cabernet Sauvignon that’s showing quite good these days.

QOTD: South America equals friendly. 🙂 (at least here in Brazil)

  • Anonymous

    South America = late nights.

  • Anonymous

Good show Gary! QOTD: Whenever I think of South America I think of an abandoned rubber plantation along the amazon that has a cellar with some very old Bordeaux in it free for the taking, if you can find it!

  • Return of the oak monster! I love Argentinian Malbec, there is such value in those wines and they are so affordable.

QOTD: SA = A land of free terrain with great quality wine in a growing market that has yet to be really tapped into

  • G, Peruvian wine is quickly (not slowly, definitely not 20 years away) getting the attention it deserves. I actually brought back a couple of bottle for YOU my friend but you totally ignored my tweet when I mentioned it :/ Oh well… they were tasty!
